Originally from Detroit, Bobbi has never attended or performed at SXSW before. But Folayan, who grew up a few hours from here, in Dallas, remembers driving down to Austin with her brothers and performing at little hole-in-the-wall clubs and unofficial showcases years earlier. “It’s surreal to come back and be on a Rolling Stone lineup,” she says.
